Ilse Bintig

Ilse Bintig (born April 7, 1924 in Hamm ; † April 15, 2014 there ) was a German writer.

Life

Ilse Bintig graduated from high school in Hamm in 1943 . She was unable to realize her desire to become a journalist during the last years of the war and in the post-war years. Only two years after the war did she manage to get a place at university. She studied pedagogy and taught at primary and secondary schools in Hamm until 1984. From 1984 she wrote books for children and young people, short stories, radio broadcasts and plays.

Bintig was a member of the Association of German Writers . She was widowed and had a son. Bintig lived in Hamm until her death in 2014.
