Ilse Dörffeldt (born March 23, 1912 in Berlin ; † September 14, 1992 in Berlin-Hellersdorf ) was a German athlete who was particularly successful in the sprint in the 1930s .

At the Olympic Games in 1936 , the only 1.61 m tall athlete from SC Charlottenburg (SCC) was a member of the German 4 x 100 meter relay , together with Emmy Albus , Käthe Krauss and Marie Dollinger . On August 8, 1936, they set a new world record with 46.4 seconds, which lasted until the 1952 Olympic Games . In the finals on the following day, Dörffeldt became a tragic figure when, as the final runner, again on a world record course with a gap of about 10 meters in the lead, she dropped the baton handed over by Marie Dollinger.

At the German championships, Ilse Dörffeldt was runner-up over 800 meters in 1932 and in the 100-meter run in 1937. She was third in 1933 and 1934 over 100 meters and 1932 to 1934 over 200 meters. With the club relay of the SCC she won the German championship in the 4 x 100 meter relay in 1937 and 1938 and the runner-up in 1939. She won another championship title with the relay in 1934, but at that time she was still starting for SV Siemens Berlin . With the club relay of the SCC she also reached the world record in the 4 x 200 meter relay in a time of 1: 45.3 minutes on June 19, 1938 and improved it to 1: 44.6 on June 9, 1940 min.

Until the mid-1950s, Dörffeldt worked as a teacher in Banzendorf , where she taught German, history and sports. When the school there closed, she moved to Berlin-Karlshorst . Her urn was buried in the cemetery in Banzendorf. She was never married, but lived with her sister Gertrud, who was also unmarried, with her mother, who died in Banzendorf.
