Ilse Werder

Ilse Elfriede Ruth Werder (born October 21, 1925 in Kassel ) is a German editor and non-fiction author.

Life

Ilse Werder began her journalistic activity in 1947 with the Hessische Nachrichten . In 1958 she moved to Frankfurt and worked in her husband's legal practice. In 1967 she moved to Hanau and founded the local editorial office of the Frankfurter Rundschau . She has been a member of the SPD since 1951 and is committed to social policy, women's issues, cultural policy and environmental issues.

Ilse Werder was a co-founder of the Hanau initiative Women help women , consumer advice, the pro familia advice center and the Hanau cultural association. She has received several awards for her social commitment.
