The Ilych ( Russian Илыч ) is a 411 km long right tributary of the Pechora in the Komi Republic in northwestern Russia .
The Ilych rises in the Northern Urals . It flows through the Urals in a predominantly southerly direction and leaves it in a westerly direction and finally flows into the Pechora at Ust-Ilytsch . The Ilych is covered by a layer of ice between the beginning of November and the end of April. The mean discharge at the Maximowo gauge , 47 km above the estuary, is 180 m³ / s. The catchment area covers 16,000 km². The most important tributaries are Pyrsju and Palju from the left and Kosju , Sarju and Kogel from the right.
The Pechora-Ilych nature reserve extends along the left bank of the Ilych.
