The Kogel ( Russian Когель ) is a right tributary of the Ilych in the Komi Republic in northwestern Russia .

The Kogel rises on the Ydschidparma mountain range ( Хребет Ыджидпарма ) on the western flank of the Northern Urals . It flows mainly in a southerly direction. In the upper reaches it flows through a forest landscape. The lower course runs in a swampy landscape. The Kogel reaches the west flowing Ilytsch 42 km above its confluence with the Pechora . The Kogel has a length of 193 km. It drains an area of ​​2680 km². The mean discharge (MQ) 45 km above the mouth is 33 m³ / s.
