Marina Agatha (Ina) Müller-van Ast (born September 12, 1927 in The Hague ; † October 22, 2018 in Oss ) was a Dutch politician and a member of the Partij van de Arbeid .

Career

Müller was born into a left-wing family. Before going into politics, she worked as a clerk in an administrative office in The Hague. In 1966 she became a member of the local council of Oss and in 1973 also in the provincial parliament of the province of North Brabant . She held both positions until 1978. In 1977 she became a member of the Second Chamber of the States General . She was a member of the PvdA's working group on public housing and was very active in this area in her work in the chamber. From 1986 to 1989 Müller was deputy chairman of the standing committee for disability policy.

On April 28, 1989, Müller was made a Knight of the Order of the Dutch Lion . She left politics in September of that year.

In 2014, at the age of 85, she was the “Lijstduwer” (last place on the party list) of the Partij van de Arbeid in the local elections in Oss.
