The Inan Peak is a 2,451 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it rises 1.85 km west of Mount Kempe .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1994 after the Turkish climate researcher Ümran Savaş İnan (* 1951) from Stanford University , who had carried out studies on the composition of the upper atmosphere in Antarctica at the Siple station and the Palmer station in the 1980s .
