Ines Reiger

Ines Reiger Dominik (* 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian jazz singer and music teacher.

Live and act

Reiger studied musicals, operettas and drama, jazz singing as well as theater and musicology. She worked with musicians such as Peter Herbolzheimer , Bill Dobbins , Heinz von Hermann , Wayne Darling , Richard Oesterreicher , Teddy Ehrenreich , Ellis Marsalis , Harry Belafonte and Tony Christie . From 1981 she was a soloist in numerous radio productions, including with the WDR Big Band Cologne .

She has performed at jazz festivals such as the Kärnten International , the Golden Lyra in Bratislava , the Ballerup Jazz Festival , the New Orleans Jazz Convention , the Vienna Jazz Festival and the Salzburg Autumn Jazz Festival . She also sang Maria Magdalena in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at performances in Munich and Zurich .

Reiger has been teaching singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2002 . In addition, she has lectureships at the Art University Graz , the Music and Art University Vienna , the Music Academy Weimar and the Scuola di Musica 55 Trieste and gives workshops a. a. in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, the USA, Mexico and South Korea.

She developed Natural Voice Training (NVT), a singing technique in jazz / pop. Since June 2007 she has been a presenter at Ö1 for the Jazznacht .
