Inga Köstner

Inga Köstner (before marriage Inga Nitz , born August 19, 1979 in Berlin-Friedrichshain ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Until June 2011 she was a member of the party Die Linke .

Life

Köstner was born in 1979 in what was then East Berlin's working-class district of Friedrichshain. The first ten years of her life were under the influence of the GDR system. She attended a grammar school in Berlin until 1999 and then the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde . In 2002 she graduated with a degree in administration and moved to Bremen-Blumenthal . She initially worked as a clerk in the area of economic assistance at the Office for Social Services (Sozialamt) Bremen . From 2005 to 2007 she was an employment broker in the Bremen Working Group for Integration and Social Affairs (BAgIS). She is married and is now called Inga Köstner .

In 2002 Köstner became a member of the PDS . From January 2006 to June 2007 she was state spokeswoman for Die Linke.PDS in Bremen .

From 2007 to 2011 she was a member of the Bremen citizenship . She was spokeswoman for her group for work and housing. From August 2009 she was also deputy chairman of the parliamentary group of the Left in the citizenry.

She was a member of the citizenship committees for the equality of women, youth welfare, state youth welfare, petitions (city and state), special fund infrastructure and in the works committees Werkstatt Bremen, KiTa Bremen and Umweltbetrieb Bremen as well as in the state and municipal deputation for work and health and the municipal deputation for social affairs, youth, senior citizens and the integration of foreigners.

At the party congress of the party Die Linke in June 2007, she was elected to the extended party executive committee.

In October 2007 she opened the Red Lounge citizens' office in Vegesack . Events were held there regularly until the office was closed. Together with her parliamentary group colleague Klaus-Rainer Rupp , she gave a monthly newsletter Links works! out.

In 2007 she was elected a member of the party's district committee in Bremen-Northwest and in 2009 she was elected spokesperson for the district association.

In 2009 she was a direct candidate for the federal election in the constituency of Bremen II - Bremerhaven .

Until March 2011, together with Benjamin Hoff, Köstner was federal spokeswoman for the internal party movement Forum Democratic Socialism . In Bremen, she was the spokesperson for the state working group for Red Reporters .

In January 2011, despite multiple candidacies for various places on the list, she was not put back as a candidate for citizenship. In June 2011 she resigned from the party Die Linke and criticized the left's selection process for candidates for citizenship, in which every member could take part in the election without the principle of delegation, as a form of “prey community”.

In February 2012, Köstner became a member of the SPD and board member of the Working Group for Employee Issues Bremen.

On June 13, 2013, she was elected local office manager in the Horn-Lehe district of Bremen . Against this election there was a rival suit by a candidate from the CDU , so that the election had to be repeated. The final election took place on April 28, 2014.

She is a member of the ver.di trade union , the nature conservation association NABU and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (RLS).
