Inga Pūliņa

Inga Pūliņa (born May 23, 1979 in Riga , today Inga Ikauniece ) is a Latvian beach volleyball player .

Career

Pūliņa formed a duo with Inguna Minusa from 2000 to 2004 . 2001 Pūliņa / Minusa retired from the World Championships in Klagenfurt without winning a set. At the subsequent European Championship in Jesolo , they had to admit defeat to the German couples Kaup / Pavlicek and Friedrichsen / Müsch . In 2002 they achieved a top ten result for the first time as ninth at the Maoming Open and took 13th place at the European Championships in Basel . While they eliminated third in the group in Alanya in 2003 , they reached the round of 16 in Timmendorfer Strand in 2004 , where they lost to the Germans Ahmann / Vollmer . Their joint career initially ended with 17th place at the Milan Open. After their wedding, Ikauniece was initially only active in indoor volleyball at VK Ropaži -MSĢ as a setter and Libera. Since 2011 she has been playing beach volleyball again alongside Minusa. At the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki, Minusa / Ikauniece were eliminated without a win after the preliminary round.
