Maike Friedrichsen (born July 18, 1970 in Eutin ; today Dieckmann ) is a former German volleyball and beach volleyball player . She was multiple German champion and took part in the Olympic Games.

Sports career hall

Friedrichsen started playing volleyball indoors at PSV Eutin in 1984 . After stops in Kiel at SW Elmschenhagen and at TV Hörde , she ended up at CJD Feuerbach , with whom she became German champion in 1991 . After another stopover at 1. VC Schwerte , she played for USC Münster from 1993 , with which she won the CEV Cup in 1994 and 1996 and the German Championship and the DVV Cup in 1996. For the national team , she completed 72 international matches.

Sports career beach

In her first beach season, Friedrichsen was German runner-up in 1994 alongside Ulrike Schmidt . In 1995 she reached third place at the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand . With Silke Schmitt she was again German runner- up in 1996 . With Danja Müsch , she won the German championship and a second place at the World Tour tournament in Japan in the first season . Her best placement in the world rankings was fifth. After a third place in the 1998 DM, the duo repeated their national success in 1999. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney she reached ninth place. In 2001 she celebrated her last triumph as the German champion with Danja Müsch and then ended her career.

Private

Maike Dieckmann is married to the former beach volleyball player Markus Dieckmann and has two children.
