Coat of arms of those of Ingersleben

The von Ingersleben family is a family from the ancient nobility of the Archdiocese of Magdeburg , which still exists.

Family history

The lineage of those von Ingersleben has its origin in the place of the same name, today's Ostingersleben near Haldensleben in the territory of the Archbishops of Magdeburg. The family first appeared there in a document in 1209 with the brothers Heitericus and Linderus de Ingerslove, and in 1211 with Johannes de Ingersleve. The safe trunk series begins with Otto von Ingersleben, who was enfeoffed with Wolmirsleben in 1457 .

It seems unclear whether there is a connection with the lords of Ingersleben from Ingersleben in the Thuringian district of Gotha , first mentioned in 1351 .
