Rudolf August von Ingersleben

Rudolf August von Ingersleben (born December 19, 1704 ; † 1780 in Eisleben ) was a Prussian colonel and commander of Grenadier Battalion No. 2 .

Life

origin

Rudolf August was the son of Kaspar Friedrich von Ingersleben and his wife Wilhelmine von Lautensack. His brother Johann Ludwig von Ingersleben was a Prussian major general .

Military career

Ingersleben came first to the Infantry Regiment "von Kalckstein" No. 25 and was here on February 18, 1728 Second Lieutenant and on March 30, 1730 Prime Lieutenant . In 1740 he received his own company and in 1741 was transferred as a major to the newly established Füselierregiment "jung-Dohnar" No. 38 . In 1744 he was given the command of a grenadier regiment. The regiment was formed from the grenadier companies of the infantry regiment "Drossow" No. 31 and garrison battalion "Kröcher" No. 9 . In 1748 Ingersleben was promoted to lieutenant colonel and in 1752 to colonel .

At the beginning of the Seven Years' War in 1756 he received grenadier battalion No. 2, which was established from the grenadier companies of the "Eckartsberg" regiment No. 45 and the garrison battalion "Salenmon" No. 9 . However, he was retired due to illness in 1757, after having taken part in a few battles during the war.

family

Ingerslebe was married to Johanna Elisabeth von Pfuhl from the Wimmelburg family. The only child Albertine Wilhelmine (1748–1813) married Alexander Christoph August von Seebach and was the mother of the later major general Friedrich Johann Christian Heinrich von Seebach (1767–1847).
