Ingrid Almqvist
Ingrid Almqvist ( Ingrid Margareta Almqvist; born October 10, 1927 in Gothenburg ; † November 9, 2017 ) was a Swedish javelin thrower .
She was tenth at the 1948 Olympic Games in London , eighth at the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 , tenth at the 1954 European Championships in Bern, fifth at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne and ninth at the 1958 European Championships in Stockholm .
At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 , she was eliminated in qualification. In 1961 she won the Nordic Championships.
She was Swedish champion 15 times (1947, 1949–1952, 1954–1958, 1960–1964). Her personal best of 52.32 m she set on September 12, 1964 in Helsinki .
