IC 636 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Sextant south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 353 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 3326 , NGC 3337 , NGC 3341 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on April 7, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
