IC 621 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation Sextant south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 388 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on April 7, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
