IC 602 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 163 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 35,000 ly. Together with IC 601 , it forms a bound galaxy pair.
In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3186 .

The object was discovered on April 10, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
