IC 595 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E4 in Leo on the ecliptic . It is around 371 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 55,000 light years . 
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 596 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 28, 1892 .
