NGC 3069 = IC 580 is a galaxy of Hubble type S0? in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 233 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across. It probably forms a bound galaxy pair with NGC 3070 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 576 , IC 577 , IC 578 , IC 584 .
The object was discovered on March 15, 1877 by Johan Ludvig Emil Dreyer .
