NGC 3060 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 160 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter. Together with NGC 3053 and PGC 28716 , it forms the small NGC 3060 group .
The supernova SN 2009am was observed here.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on January 14, 1787 .
