NGC 3076 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 160 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3052 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 12, 1836 .
