NGC 3095 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Antlia south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 112 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 125,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 3100 , NGC 3108 , IC 2533 , among others .
The supernovae SN 2004ej (Type-II) and SN 2008bp (Type-IIP) were observed here.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 16, 1836 .
