NGC 3112 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Hydra south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 169 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
The property was discovered by Ormond Stone in 1886 .
