NGC 3104 = Arp 264 is an irregular galaxy of the Hubble type IBm in the constellation Little Leo. It is estimated to be 27 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.
Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class of galaxies with irregular clusters .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 18, 1787 .
