NGC 3135 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is an estimated 324 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 85,000 ly. The galaxy has a small companion called ECO 10308 .
The object was discovered on March 19, 1828 by John Herschel .
