IC 2539 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 117 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3100 , NGC 3108 , IC 2533 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on May 1, 1900 .
