IC 2550 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is around 212 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 65,000 light years .
The object was discovered on May 7, 1900 by Stéphane Javelle .
