IC 2536 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 112 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 ly in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3120 , IC 2532 , IC 2534 , IC 2538 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on May 1, 1900 .
