IC 2536 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 112 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 ly in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3120 , IC 2532 , IC 2534 , IC 2538 .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on May 1, 1900 .
