NGC 3084 = IC 2528 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Antlia in the southern sky . It is an estimated 104 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy is a member of the NGC 3054 group , which continues to include NGC 3051 , NGC 3054 , NGC 3078 , NGC 3089 , IC 2531 , IC 2537, and PGC 28874 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on March 26, 1835 .
