IC 2532 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 116 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3087 , IC 2534 , IC 2536 .
The Type Ia supernova SN 2013E has been observed here.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on May 1, 1900 .
