IC 2533 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 99 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3095 , NGC 3100 , NGC 3108 , IC 2539 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in April 1900 .
