IC 2533 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Antlia south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 99 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3095 , NGC 3100 , NGC 3108 , IC 2539 .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in April 1900 .
