Mount Balkanska

Mount Balkanska (English; Bulgarian връх Балканска wrach Balkanska ) is a 1600  m high and mostly icy mountain in the Lassus Mountains on the Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 2.53 km south-southwest of Moriseni Peak , 16.2 km west of Nebusch Nunatak , 4.26 km north of Mount Morley and 4.57 km east-southeast of Beagle Peak . Its steep south-west slopes are partly not icy. The Nichols Snowfield is to the east and the Naretschen Glacier is northwest of it.

British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2017 after the Bulgarian opera singer Mimis Balkanska (1902–1984).
