IC 584 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is around 234 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 25,000 light years.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3069 , NGC 3070 , IC 577 , IC 578 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 28, 1892 .
