IC 571 is a compact galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type C in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 376 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 110,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 3041 , IC 568 , IC 570 , IC 572 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 16, 1893 .
