IC 560 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Sextant south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 76 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered on March 9, 1893 by the astronomer Stéphane Javelle .
