IC 544 is a spiral  radio galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 325 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 545 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 21, 1892 .
