IC 535 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E0 in the constellation Hydra south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 735 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 20, 1893 .
