IC 519 is a compact elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type c / E0 in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 657 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 17, 1893 .
