NGC 2590 = IC 507 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 216 million light years from the Milky Way and about 145,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on February 26, 1878 by Édouard Stephan .
