NGC 2610 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Water Snake , with a surface brightness of 12.7 mag. Its distance from us is probably between 6000 and 8500 light years.
The nebula was discovered on December 31, 1785 by the astronomer Wilhelm Herschel with a 48 cm telescope.
