NGC 2624 is a bright spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 182 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across.
The galaxies NGC 2625 , NGC 2637 , IC 2388 , IC 2390 are in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 30, 1864 .
