NGC 2584 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 299 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years across.
The galaxies NGC 2583 and NGC 2585 are in the same area of the sky .
The property was discovered by Frank Muller in 1886 .
