IC 510 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 468 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2615 , NGC 2616 , IC 514 , IC 515 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 20, 1893 .
