IC 510 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 468 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2615 , NGC 2616 , IC 514 , IC 515 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 20, 1893 .
