IC 545 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sab in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 275 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 40,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 544 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on March 21, 1892 .
