IC 565 is a Hubble-type Sc spiral galaxy in the constellation Leo, north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 257 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 568 and IC 570 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 16, 1893 .
