IC 565 is a Hubble-type Sc spiral galaxy in the constellation Leo, north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 257 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 568 and IC 570 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 16, 1893 .
