IC 569 is an elliptical galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 459 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 576 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 27, 1892 .
