geography

The Parishof, formerly also called Parishof-Wendemark, a manor settlement in the Wische, is located about one kilometer southwest of Wendemark and 4 kilometers west-southwest of the town of Werben (Elbe) on the river Tauber Aland .

history

In the year 1316, a Henning, passed by Pariss in Sandau, is named as a witness in a document.

The year of the first mention of Paris is the year 1425, in which a Wischehof in the Gut zu Paris was mentioned as in the richte to Paris . In 1438 belehnte Margrave Friedrich the younger the Seehäuser citizens peter Easter Borge and Stendal citizens merten Chlotzen with possessions in one of Paris . Other mentions are 1449 Parys , 1455 tho dem haue tho Parys and 1472 parysz .

Lieselott Enders wrote in 2004: “In my opinion, Paris, like some other Wischedörfer, should not be seen as a desert. The settlement is continuously occupied, but is shrinking mainly due to the buy-out of farms by the landlords. Farmers and landlords in the nearby Wendemark also own fields on the Feldmark. ”Peter P. Rohrlach writes that the ownership structure of the actual Parishof is difficult to distinguish from the other information on Paris, especially on the Paris Wendemark suburb. He explains that the information "is partly contradictory and often not clearly assignable." In 1542 it is said that Ruwe gives from his court to Parishof the caland in Seehausen , in 1687 the place is called Parieß, Vorwerck, Wendemarck Parieß . In 1693 there were two knightly seats in Wendemark Paris (one divided, the other on a desolate farm), one occupied and two desolate farms and one kossatenhof. In 1804 there was a manor and village of Paris-Wendemark . They belonged to the village of Wendemark. On the General Staff map from 1911, the court is called Paris . In 1958 Parishof was listed in the local dictionary, including 2003 on the Top50 .

Zahn wrote in 1909: “A knightly family named itself after the old village, but they moved to the Uckermark at an early stage. There was also a middle-class Pariss family in Werben. "

In 1928 the Parishof manor had an agricultural area of 325 hectares and belonged to Cornelius van Delden .

Mentioned in 1289 - desertification

Wilhelm Zahn wrote in 1909: “ In his historical introduction to the documents of the monastery on the holy grave near Techow, Riedel reports that after the deed of foundation from 1289, which no longer exists, the Bishop of Havelberg gave the monastery two courtyards in Paris. However, the Havelberg cathedral chapter owned there during the Middle Ages and up to modern times, so the news is not unlikely. ”Zahn also reported extensively from the documents on the location. He concluded: “The village became desolate at least at the end of the 16th century , with the exception of a single farm, which was now called Parishof.” Johann Friedrich Danneil came to the same conclusion in 1863. The existence of a desolate village is valid today as obsolete.
