IC 634 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Sextant south of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 364 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter . 
The galaxies NGC 3326 and IC 628 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on April 7, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
