NGC 3421 = IC 652 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa / P in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 191 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies NGC 3402 , NGC 3404 , NGC 3422 , IC 647 are located in the same area of the sky .
The property was discovered by Andrew Ainslie Common in 1880 .
