NGC 3430 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 70 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light-years across.
Together with NGC 3413 and NGC 3424 , it forms the galaxy trio Holm 218 . She is a member of the eleven galaxies counting NGC 3396 group ( LGG 218 ). In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3396 IC 2608 , IC 2612 , IC 2613 .

The type IIP supernova SN 2004ez was observed here.
